The Stiletto Ebony 23 cm from Frank Beltrame is an icon of Italian knife craftsmanship, being a contemporary continuation of classic forms known since the mid-20th century. Created in a renowned manufactory, the design refers to the aesthetics and technique typical of stiletto knives , preserving their slender profile, spring mechanism and hand finishing. It’s a design that combines utilitarian functionality with collector value, without sacrificing the authenticity of the materials or craftsmanship. Blade made of 420stainless steel used guarantees resistance to corrosion, ease of maintenance and stable cutting properties with daily use. 420 MA5M – martensitic stainless steel rich in carbon 0.15% and containing min. 12% chromium. In the annealed state, it has good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance. Grade 420 has the highest chromium content of all stainless steels at 12-14% and a hardness in the 52 -56 HRC range .
Blade – stiletto style, made of polished stainless steel, features a slim geometry and a classic, slightly sharpened profile, facilitating precise cuts. The material provides resistance to rust and ease of sharpening, which makes the knife practical also outside the context of collecting. The finish of the blade, with traces of hand-grinding, emphasizes the artisanal character of the design. The key element remains the spring-loaded mechanism, activated by a push-button, which is responsible for the quick and impressive opening of the blade. An additional safety feature in the form of a slide prevents accidental folding or opening of the blade. The whole is set in the convention of classic Beltrame knives, maintaining functionality and proportions in line with the canon.
Handle – combines solid ebony wood with nickel fittings, creating a composition that refers to the best traditions of Italian stiletto. The smooth surface of the wood, dark tones and precisely set rivets create a harmonious whole.
