Para3 FRN Black Plain, ultra-light, compact version of the excellent Para Military 2, one of the best EDC. Made in USA (Golden, Colorado).
CTS BD1N – high-carbon, high-chromium, martensitic nitrogen steel, provides an excellent balance of hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance. Designed as an improvement or evolution (addition of nitrogen) used in the production of knives, stainless steel CTS-BD1. CTS-BD1N has a higher hardness compared to CTS-BD1 steel, up to 63 HRC. Manufactured by Carpenter Technology Corporation.
Compression-Lock – (similar to Liner-Lock) patented by Spyderco Company (made in USA) mechanism for locking the blade. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. The handle on the back protects the knife against unintentional closing. When locking, the fingers are not in the way of the folding blade.
Blade – laser cut with a modified Clip Point profile, 3.7 mm thickness. Satin Finish (semi-matt) coating – eliminates glares. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind) that increases cutting properties and reduces the weight of the knife. Enlarged 14 mm cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) to open the knife, also in the glove. Ribbed thumb support, ramp (spine jimping) and (finger choil jimping), notched cutout for index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to work with a knife.
Handle – made of material FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), fiberglass-reinforced nylon, has bi-directional, non-slip texture Bi-Directional Texturing for an excellent grip, also with greasy or moist hands. Ultralight handle claddings and open construction, so-called „open-backed”, reduce the weight by almost 30%. compared to the folder with the G-10 handle. Made of wire, screwed clip (left / right) allows you to move the knife in the tip-down position.
