Easy to carry, compact E.D.C. folder by German brand Herbertz Solingen, fits in any pocket. The perfect tool for most cutting jobs. Made of good Pakka wood materials and corrugated stainless steel.
AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – clip point type, perfectly presents matt satin finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. Hollow grind provides powerful slicing performance while hollow clip point is suitable for piercing and precision work. The blade opens with a milled indentation on the wedge, nail nick. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest, makes it easy to hold the folder securely during precision tasks. Solid Back Lock of the blade.
Handle – profiled facings made of Pakka Wood, a composite of wood and plastic. The laminate is made by selecting hardwood veneers and impregnating them with thermosetting phenolic resins. The grip covers are fixed with rivets made of polished brass and finished with bolsters made of corrugated matt stainless steel. A single-position, right-handed metal clip allows the knife to be carried in the pocket in the tip-down position. In the back of the handle a lanyard hole, a hole that allows the attachment of a thong or rope.
