Buffalo-16BF is an exquisitely crafted knife by the Spanish brand Muela, part of the commemorative Big Five series. Inspired by Africa’s „Big Five” the collection includes five knives adorned with medallions of the buffalo, lion, rhinoceros, leopard, and elephant. Made from the finest materials with meticulous attention to detail, it is a true gem for collectors, hunting enthusiasts, and lovers of the active lifestyle. The handle is crafted from deer antler, crowned with a medallion depicting a buffalo head. Each knife comes in an elegant presentation box, adding to its uniqueness.
X50CrMoV15(1.4116) -molybdenum-vanadiumhigh-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of56-58 HRC.The chemical composition of the steel is enriched with an admixture of15.0%chromium (Cr),0.80%molybdenum (Mo),0.20%vanadium (V).
Blade – Bowie profile with a thickness of 4.5 mm, offering excellent mechanical properties and long-lasting edge retention. The Plain edge is ground with a hollow grindfor superior cutting performance. The Satin Finish (semi-matte) reduces glare. At the base of the blade, a double guard made from polished brass protects the hand from slipping onto the blade.
Handle – crafted from natural deer stag, providing an exclusive appearance and a comfortable, secure grip. The pommel is adorned with a hunting motif, featuring a polished brass medallion depicting a buffalo head.
Sheath – crafted from natural dark brown cowhide leather. The sheath features an embossed manufacturer’s logo and is secured with Prim-type snap fasteners. The edges are stitched with decorative thread. Designed for vertical carry, it can be attached to a belt or gear for convenient transportation.
