420 – rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength, as well as excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – with a spear point profile offers a versatile range of applications. The pronounced tip facilitates precise handling, while the gently drawn cutting edge line promotes smooth, controlled cutting. The flat grind gives the blade a usable geometry – not extremely thin, but optimized for everyday tasks. As a result, the knife maintains reasonable durability for typical EDC use.
