The Medford USMC Fighter Flipper Black/Blue-Violet “Diamond Head” Titanium, Blue HW/Clip, Black DLC/Satin is a large men’s folding knife that’s as comfortable on the job as it is in your pocket when you’re walking around town. There’s really a lot going on in this design: retro-style Handle milling, drop-point blade, integrated Pommel, and a unique clip to catch on the edge of your pocket. The hollow grind on the blade was done by hand – a rarity in the knife industry, achieved only by a select few manufacturers capable of such precision. CPM S90V – corrosion-resistant, top-quality, mechanical stress-resistant, advanced American powder steel with a hardness of 56-59 HRC. High vanadium content promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, which increases the steel’s wear / abrasion resistance and the presence of free chromium provides excellent corrosion resistance. A premium steel, used in the production of premium blades and exclusive knives. Manufactured at the steel mills of Crucible Inc. (Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM).
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade’s surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade – solid with a Drop Point profile , impressively finished with Two Tone method, the grinds and embossing are covered with black DLC coating , the rest satin. Hand-made hollow grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The striking embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife.
