The blade play free automatic is distinguished by a number of improvements such as; Crud Kutter™, Dual-Fuel Drive Train™, Zero Blade Play™. The model is distinguished by a unique“Outbreak” finish in green with red splashes (“blood splatter”) and a deeply engravedbiohazard symbol(Biohazard), being the hallmark of this limited edition. Operating in D/A (Double Action) mode, it allows the blade to be instantly extended and retracted with a flick of the thumb, guaranteeing unparalleled speed and reliability in situations requiring immediate response. Zero Blade Play™ – a redesigned blade locking system, getting rid of the affliction of most OTF knives, i.e. play on the blade when opened.

M390MK – thanks to the cooperation of Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel for better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade – machine ground D/E (Double Edge) Dagger profile, sharpened on both sides with a long line of grain grooves on both sides of the blade. Effectively covered with the Outbreak finish, as is also on the handle, giving it a raw, apocalyptic look.The blade is brought out with a high Flat Grind, providing excellent cutting properties. As a result, the knife has excellent piercing properties while maintaining its strength. The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide under the thumb requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. A tritium insert has been placed in the slider, glowing in the dark, for easier finding of the knife in the dark. The method of opening provides trouble-free opening for both right- and left-handed people.
Handle – in Outbreak finish,with red, irregular spots coming out from under the green, rubbed surface. On the presentation side deeply engraved Biohazard mark, the symbol of theOutbreak series. Grips made with perfect precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from 6061-T6 aluminum. The texture of the Handle makes the knife non-slip in the hand during use. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the handle for a more secure grip. Innovative boltless handle design. The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in a pocket, in a tip-down position (blade tip down). The clip bears the signature of Anthony Marfione. The Handle is finished with glass striker, a solid steel triangle, into which a tungsten carbide ball has been pressed. On the back of the Handle, a hole for interweaving a decorative cord.
