Hornet-W Gray Micarta, Satin versatile fixed blade knife from Muela with full tang construction. Sturdy and durable will endure work in all conditions without damage. Perfect for camping, will work well as a tactical knife, survival knife, for a hunter, EDC. Made of molybdenum-vanadium steel X50CrMoV15.
X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) – molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 57-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel is enriched with an admixture of 15.0% Chromium, 0.80% Molybdenum, 0.20% Vanadium.
Blade – sharpened on both sides with Spear Point profile , 4.5 mm thick , hardened in the range of 57-58 HRC. Manufactured from stainless, durable molybdenum-vanadium X50CrMoV15 steel that holds sharpness well. The blade is finished with an elegant satin finish. Plain type blade with Hollow grind provides good cutting properties. A section of the blade’s back is covered with upper jimping, a notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. A steel rider at the base of the Blade protects the hand from slipping during use.
Handle – profiled, the grips made of Micarta, lie perfectly in the hand. The covers were screwed together with torx screws. Deep undercut on the finger (fore fingergroove) improves grip security. The steel head with interwoven rope can be used as a hammer and a glass breaker.
Sheath – black in color , fastened with a snap, allows you to carry the knife safely. Made of leather and waterproof nylon. The edges of the sheath are stitched with decorative thread. Embossed on the leather is the inscription MUELA TACTICAL KNIVES. Sheath has an attachment to the belt or to the equipment allowing to carry the knife in an upright position.
