AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade -Spey Point profile, 5 mm thickblackened except for the grind, with a clearly defined belly of the cutting edge. The plain edge blade features a convex grind, which provides exceptional strength while maintaining excellent cutting performance.
Handle – contoured cherry wood scales are attached directly to the tang with rivets. The simple, ergonomic shape provides a secure and comfortable grip. The symmetrical design of the handle allows the knife to be held in either direction, appreciated by users who prefer a reverse grip.
Case – brown leather with snap fastener. Scabbard with pocket for magnesium flint, included in the set.
