ELK-14G a versatile fixed blade knife from Muela that you must have. The goal was to create a reliable, lightweight knife for all kinds of outdoor use. Targeted at bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts.
X50CrMoV15(1.4116)- molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel was enriched by doping 15.0% Chromium, 0.80% Molybdenum, 0.20% Vanadium.
Blade – Clip Point type with a thickness of 3.8 mm. Finished giving a semi-matte effect with an elegant satin finish. Plain blade was derived with Full Flat Grind, which reduced the weight of the knife and improved cutting properties. At the base of the blade, a double-sided a steel guard on both sides prevents the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle – made of moled flexible elastomer lining in black. The soft synthetic rubber handle guarantees a very good grip, the knife does not slip from the hand, and the strong and firm grip allows you to make precise movements with the knife despite its size. In the back of the handle lanyard hole, there is an enlarged hole for the cord.
Case – enables safe carrying of the knife. Made of black leather with the embossed Muela logo, fastened with a latch. The sheath was sewn at the edges with a decorative thread. Fastening to a belt or attachment allows you to carry the knife in a vertical position.
