Compact automatic knife from the German brand Puma, with the blade deployed from the side of the handle by a powerful spring. The manufacturer paid special attention to the design of the springs. The blade opens in a matter of hundredths of a second. During deployment, the automatic mechanism produces a characteristic “click” sound. In this model, the force during blade deployment gives a noticeable tug on the hand, demonstrating the power contained in Puma knives’ springs.
AISI 420(AmericanIron andSteelInstitute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – Leaf-shaped design provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. Coated with a non-reflective matte BC (Black Coated) finish. The plain edge is ground with a full flat grind, reducing overall weight. To maintain full control of the blade, the sloping spine features upper jimping, a textured thumb rest.
Handle – made of stainless steel andblack G10 composite, attached to a steel frame. The textured G10 ensures a secure grip during use. The top of the handle includes a safety to prevent accidental blade deployment. A single-position right-handed clip allows tip-down carry.
