Para Military 2 Digital Camo G10, Black DLCthe second generation of Spyderco’s iconic knife, a compact version of the Military folder in digital camouflage. Improved technically – improved handle ergonomics (thinner, tapered at the end) – extended blade tip – enlarged cord hole – four-position clip. Reinforced fully demountable torx bolted construction for easy cleaning, folder adjustment. Manufactured at the Spyderco factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).
CPM S45VN- American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of59-61 HRC,one of the best steels for blades. Designed to provide better strength compared toCPM S30V,while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured byUS Crucible Industriesusing the particle metallurgy /Crucible®ParticleMetallurgy (CPM)method. TheCPMprocess creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of0.5%niobium carbides (Nb) along with3.0%vanadium (V) and14.0%chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength ofCPM S45VNalso provides better resistance to edge chipping.
Compression-Lock – (similar to Liner-Lock) patented by the company Spyderco (made in the USA) mechanism blocking the blade. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. The handle on the back protects the knife against unintentional closing. When locking, the fingers are not in the way of the folding blade.
Blade – laser cut with modified Clip Point profile, thickness 3.7 mm,coated with matte non-reflective DLC (Diamond Like Coating). Plain blade was derived with a Full Flat Grind to increase cutting properties and reduce the weight of the knife. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. The notched thumb ramp and Finger Choil (contoured undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge) increase control of the knife.
Handle – non-slip textured cladding in military digital camouflage. Made of plastic G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals) bolted to steel liners using torx screws. The folder is equipped with a metal clip with the possibility of mounting in four planes (up / down, right / left). 4-way clip positions. In the back of the grip, an enlarged hole (lanyard hole) to pull the leash or safety rope.
