Vallotton Sub-Hilt G-10 Plain, designed by Butch Vallotton, a leading American knifemaker specializing in the production of high-end custom folders and automatic knives. As the first in the production of folders he used a double-sided stud on the sides of the Thumb Stud. The Sub-Hilt Vallotton model honors this innovation and is the only Spyderco folder that has both Thumb Stud and the SpyderHole notch, our round trademark.

Blade – with the Drop Point profile, 4 mm thickness. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with a concave cut (Hollow Grind) for effective deep cuts. The enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole notch (Spyderco patent) has increased the thumb support (ramp), which places the thumb directly above the hole allowing quick opening of the knife also in the glove as well as wet, sweaty hands. Handle – profiled toes with a smooth, polished G-10 cladding, durable, resistant to high and low temperatures as well as chemical substances. The main blade is finished with a bolster made of brushed (corrugated) stainless steel. Metal clip with the possibility of fixing in four planes (up / down, right / left). 4-way clip positions. In the back of the linings a hole (lanyard hole) for the cable.
