The CJH Orange Aluminum, Black is a design developed for situations where time and simplicity are of the essence. This model combines a classic utility blade with elements typical of rescue knives, creating a multifunctional tool for use in a vehicle, during a traffic accident or in the field. The drop point profile blade has been coated with a black protective coating, which gives it a matte, technical look and reduces light reflections. The flat grind ensures efficient cutting through seat belts, webbing or technical clothing without excessive resistance. The 420 steel was chosen for its corrosion resistance and easy maintenance – qualities that are important in a tool kept in a vehicle or emergency equipment. The aluminum Handle provides a solid body for the integrated emergency tools. The rear section contains a glass breaker, and the handle design includes a sheathed belt cutter. A liner lock keeps the blade steady in the working position, and a clip allows quick access while carrying. This is a knife designed not for aesthetics, but for effectiveness in critical situations.
420 – rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength, as well as excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – drop point profile provides controlled tip action, which is important when operating in confined spaces, such as in the cab of a vehicle. The geometry combines precision with sufficient structural strength. The flat grind gives the blade a utilitarian feel, allowing it to cut through textiles and synthetic webbing quickly and cleanly. The blade is not overly thin – its cross section promotes durability in typical rescue applications. The 420 steel features moisture resistance and uncomplicated care. The black surface finish serves a protective function and reduces glare. The liner lock, which stabilizes the blade when working under load, is responsible for locking.
Handle – a body of aluminum gives the structure adequate rigidity and mechanical resistance. Clearly marked finger indentations improve control, and a contrasting color scheme increases the visibility of the knife in rescue equipment. The integrated belt cutter features a sheathed blade to minimize the risk of accidental injury during use.
