701500, exact US Ranger lens compass by Herbertz Solingen. The compass mechanism is secured with a solid aluminum housing resistant to mechanical damage. In order to increase the precision of needle indications and reduce its vibrations, the box was filled with non-freezing and shock-absorbing liquid.
The compass has a function thanks to the front sight and rear sight, it is possible to track the azimuth of the topographic point and the map compass function thanks to the scale placed on the base of the device.
The side of the ring has deep cuts allowing the use of the compass also with gloves.
The closed aluminum casing tightly covers the compass glass, protecting it from possible scratches or breaking. It also allows you to control the direction of the march.
